Country Style Ham and Noodles

Put your ham leftovers to good use in this country style noodle recipe.

Serves 8

Ingredients
  • 12 oz. Pennsylvania Dutch Ribbons
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup green peppers, cut in thin strips
  • 1 cup carrots, cut in thin strips
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Directions
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta cooking water.
  2. Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir onions, peppers and carrots until tender-crisp. Add ham. Stir until heated through. Add noodles, pasta water and cheese. Blend well.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
