Ingredients
8 ounces Pennsylvania Dutch Extra Broad Noodles
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (15-1/2 ounce) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 (15 ounce) container cottage cheese
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (4 ounce) cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese, divided
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Cook noodles according to package directions.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cook ground beef, onion and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 4 minutes, or until meat is lightly browned. Stir in spaghetti sauce and pepper. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes.
Combine cottage cheese, milk and salt in large bowl. Add noodles; toss to coat.
Spoon half the noodle mixture into 8x8x2-inch baking dish. Top with 1/2 cup mozzarella and 1 cup meat sauce. Repeat layers once. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
